Time to wake up and smell the wet, hot garbage. Summer is coming in hotsy totsy, Washington. So, gird your face wipes, baby powder, and Evian spray, because it's about to get real hot and sticky up in the Swamp. If you’re an average gal who starts dumping sweat the moment the temperature breaks 60 degrees, like me, then you’re also plagued with the looming anxiety of staying relatively “fresh” over the course of the next 4 months...
Humidity and unrelenting sunlight make daily commutes and general survival especially grueling (and greasy) for those of us living at literal sea level, or anywhere on the east coast. So, let's take a moment to recall Article Ten, Section 25 of the Constitution: “It is the right to the people to keep and bear grooming products, so they may feel fresh as a daisy, and shall not be infringed under any circumstances.” This said, it is an honor to share four of my colleague's personal tricks and tips to exercising these rights. Now, please rise for SCOUT’s honorable glam squad and their Glam Squads. Dilly, dilly!

"If you're constantly traveling for work and want to keep your sanity. The Glam Squad is the way to go."
“They clearly identify that I am deep in thought and not to be disturbed (until the drink cart comes around and the airline is offering better snacks than pretzels and wafer cookies). They also cancel out noise from snoring seatmates"

“My life is a constant struggle with my crazy, Italian strega (witch) hair, so it takes a village of products to keep it looking tame. The Glam Squad keeps everything organized (and cute!) in my Ikea RÅSKOG cart.”
“Summer is all about color, so I keep a summer nail color on hand”
I'm sure y'all probably have your own techniques for staying fresh for your coworkers, peers, friends, family, significant others, pets, and self. For example, I carry a reserve of 3 changes of underwear, high-octane clarifying face wipes, two flavors of deodorant (for day-to-night transitions), and military-grade dry shampoo. “Do you hitch your trailer filled with the 'Hygiene' aisle to the bus every morning or have it airlifted?” you ask. No, dear reader. Fortunately, I do what any beautiful genius does. I keep a fully-stocked Glam Squad at the office, so I can do a Beauty360 at a moment's notice.
