Valentine's Day Edition!
When hosting guests for a dinner party, the easiest way to set the stage is with charming, festive table décor – easily attainable through place settings.
Don't be afraid to mix pieces from all over your house! Hint: H&M placemats (only $5!) can complement your fine china that rarely leaves the cabinet… you get the idea! Stylist, Creative Director + Co-Founder of SCOUT, Deb, is a veteran hostess. Here’s her inspiration:
Mixing high and low-priced items often goes underrated. This set of six lips was scored from Flying Tiger in New York City (Magnet Lips, set of 6/$1.) Flying Tiger is a Danish store which sells amazingly-quirky and well-priced eccentricities. Check them out if you find yourself in the city!
Deb folded up a larger piece of fabric to mimic a placemat. Keep things interesting by incorporating random (yet tasteful) pieces you’ve obtained over the years. It can only make things interesting. We love this visual assault in red!
Candies are an easy way to add flair to your table. Heart straws, heart napkins, heart candies - we totally heart this combination.
The most sophisticated of our quartet, we're loving the neutrals here (hello, silver charger!) with slight pops of red. Use candies to personalize things and make a statement.
