Last Thursday was SCOUT's 11th Birthday; almost a teenager! For those of you who don't know the SCOUT story, we will give you a short summary. In the early 2000s, co-founder and creative director, Deb Johns was traveling in Milan when a plaid carryall bag caught her eye. It didn't take long for Deb to formulate the idea for SCOUT, which was to create fun, functional, and affordable tote bags for women and families. The brand is named after Ben and Deb's beloved dachshund who lives up to his now iconic name. SCOUT has since grown to include an array of bags, accessories, and even rugs.
The iconic man himself.
We couldn't resist. Isn't he the cutest?
Such a great motto to live by in our opinion.
We couldn't celebrate without cake and wine.
This cake was to die for; we had to go in for a second slice. If you want to try out our recipe see below. We highly suggest it!
Not a baker? That's okay! This cake requires minimal baking skills and ingredients so it's great for cooks of all stages.
We had so much fun celebrating SCOUT! But we like to think of everyday as a party here at the SCOUT HQ in Georgetown so we would like to believe this soirée was nothing out of the ordinary. Have some party tips? We would love to here from you!
