EUROPE COVERAGE Meets Wednesday Obsessions: Louis Vuitton's Latest Collaboration

One of the ways Marc Jacobs has maintained a fresh look at Louis Vuitton has been through his collaborations with pop-artists from Japan, namely with Takashi Murakami (2002) and now with Yayoi Kusama (2012). To understand his and their vision is to step into an East-meets-West fantasy, one where Italian leather totes 'take flight' via the jumpy characters or life-like symbols decorating those once 'LV'-covered forms. For more information on Murakami's world, read one of the many books that features his works and aesthetic; same here for Kusama and her design history.

Below, enjoy window shots from Deb displaying the work of Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton.
